Getting started on a fitness program is the hardest part of a fitness program.  I highly recommend the 21 day rule when approaching your fitness program.  It is very important to stay consistant when creating a new habit for at least 21 days.  Studies show it takes that long for our brain to create your new habits.

1.  Be EXCITED!  Just think you have the physical capabilities and freedom to exercise!

2.  Use a fitness journal or become involved in an online program.  All successful fitness and nutrition program have one thing in common…ACCOUNTABILITY!  Become involved with your fitness program.  Ask questions and learn from this wonderful experience!!

3.  Write down your GOALS.  Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals!  A goal that is not written down is just a DREAM!  Review your goals in the morning and before going to bed.  Your last thought before falling asleep will set your mindset for the following day!

4.  Join a fitness program that provides accountability, enthusiasm, motivation, and most important  REALISTIC RESULTS!  Does your current fitness environment provide these?  Are you plateaued?  Are you bored with your current fitness program?

5.  MOST IMPORTANT HAVE FUN!  Flashback to your childhood days when you enjoyed playing outside and being crazy.  Enthusiasm is contagious and produces results both physical and mentally!
