Heeeeey it’s Steve:))  I know you are thinking “Wow I can have amazing abs without even doing 1 single crunch?!!?!?”  Well, sorry it’s not that easy:)  I am excited to share the top 3 ab-less exercises!

The top 3 exercises are pushups, back squats, and hill sprints.  You would be shocked how these 3 exercises recruit abdominal muscle fibers and really add that extra kick to the metabolism.

When performing the pushup try different variations of foot placement.  My favorite pushup is the decline pushup which places a major stimulus to your core .

The back squat…the king of all lifts!!  When performing the back squat correctly you will be shocked on the core developement from this exercise!!  The common question is do we wear a belt during the squat?  To answer this I would wear a belt once you approach over 75% of your 1 rep maximum.  Some people need it sooner but really try to practice proper technique without the aid of the belt.

Sprints!!  Yes sprintssieps_squat1 of all forms produce an amazing 6 pack!!!  Just look at collegiate/world level sprinters!!  I am partial to the hill sprint to boom that metabolism!  The key is to really activate your arms and pick your knees up.  Distance running only demands a 60 degree knee flexion versus the hill sprint requiring over 75 degrees!!

So…there ya go…incorporate these 3 ab-less exercises into your fitness routine!!
