Is your nutrition program driving you crazy with cravings? Are you walking on thin ice around foods that call your name when you are at your weakest? Remember our bodies are creatures of habits..and when we make sacrifices to our nutrition you will feel deprived. Once you think you are deprived your mind will try to sabotage you by having unwanted cravings and hunger pains even if you are not hungry. The word ”diet” is a four letter bad word so think of it as a new change.
Approach your fitness plan as a lifestyle change and a way of life. On strict nutrition programs you are a ticking bomb and at any moment you could totally go into a feeding frenzy with the right temptations No matter how disciplined you are you must not focus on perfection but rather on progess! The first 2 weeks of measuring and avoiding your favorite foods can be the toughest transition in making those major changes. The 30 day shredded diet has produced amazing results and with the grocery list provided has allowed people to enjoy life! Beware that this program is not easy but the end results are so rewarding.!
My biggest fear with any plan that restricts our favorite foods may cause the” yo-yo” factor. Many are scared to follow a strict nutrition protocol because they might fail? Are you tired of restarting over and over again? My question to you is what do you have to lose by committing yourself to a new fitness regimen? The answer is nothing? If your current nutrition program is not providing the desired results then you have nothing to lose.
I recommend that you incorporate two different theories into the 30 day shredded diet once you have finished 30 days on the program. You may be thinking..what is he crazy? Well here is the logic behind cheating.
- If you are keeping track of your calories adding an extra 500-1000calories will actually increase your BMR.
- Adding these high calorie foods will shock your metabolism and help you break through plateaus.
- Incorporating your favorite foods will prevent binge eating and unwanted cravings.
- You are not depriving your body (very important).
- These foods can be used as rewards for all of your hard work during the week.
Here are the guidelines for you to incorporate your cheat meals.
- Pick two days during the week (Wednesday and Sunday) and choose 1 bad meal on each of those days. The cheat theory means choose anything that you want and reward yourself for all of your hard work. This is important thinking because our mind is always looking for the positive reinforcement.
or
Pick 1 day during the week and eat anything that you want during the whole day. Now I normally recommend doing this on a Saturday or Sunday but the plan can be flexible.
or
If you are planning in advance and know that you have a special event coming up then use that event as your cheat meal.
or
Use holiday’s, birthday’s, weddings, or even vacations as these special cheat days.

- Do you remember this scene of Finding Nemo? Bruce was totally boycotting against eating fish and to make them all friends..but once Dori got a bloody nose wrestling with Marlin Bruce went into a feeding frenzy!! This can happen to you so incorporate your favorite foods to avoid this feeding frenzy reaction.
